Countdown has begun for the most prestigious sporting event on the international sailing calendar

Countdown has begun for the most prestigious sporting event on the international sailing calendar, the 36th edition of the King’s Cup (Copa del Rey) Regatta is held from the 29th July to the 5th August at the Palma Royal Nautical Real Club, and the Purobeach brand, with its quality lifestyle concept, is transferred to this famous club in Palma’s bay, for the duration of the competition, turning its social spaces into authentic Puro oases.

Last March, Puro Group and the RCNP signed an agreement that guaranteed the presence of the Group and our beach club concept, during the next 3 years, in the MAPFRE King’s Cup social events, in addition to other important races such as the Princess Sofía IBEROSTAR Trophy and the PalmaVela Regatta.

This collaboration has been enthusiastically created by both companies, with the Puro brand’s quality lifestyle concept fitting perfectly into the social agenda of the MAPFRE King’s Cup. This was declared by Beltrán Álvarez Estrada in an interview during the last PalmaVela Regatta: "This collaboration is very positive, both for the visibility of the brand and for the reputation and promotion of our beach clubs and the hotel. This year we have opened a new establishment, Purobeach Illetas, and it is important for us to be linked to brands that have a high international profile, which supports the Group's international expansion plan for the next few years. "

Javier Sanz, President of the RCNP added: "It is a very natural collaboration everything we have done so far has been a success and I am sure that will continue to be the case."

The number of boats pre-registered for the 36th MAPRE King’s Cup has already exceeded the Regatta’s record, established in 2015 with 136 participants. The organization of the Palma Royal Nautical Club expects to receive 140 teams from 24 different nationalities. It is also the meeting point for prestigious international firms, international celebrities and, frequently, members of the Spanish Royal Family.
