Meet Get to know Kike Aguilar
Kike Aguilar, Cucka, fell in love with electronic music in the late 80s and early 90s. He was particularly interested in the English, German and Nordic electronic pop scenes and styles such as Synthpop, Electropop and New Beat. Groups such as Covenant, Assemblage 23 and Wolfsheim influenced him and made their mark on his DJ sets. In 1993 he started to listen to sounds more disco influenced sounds such as melodic New York and Chicago House and Trance, which was beginning to develop in countries like Israel. These melodic tendencies are present in his sets nowadays, full of the finest deep house and tech house. These two current day musical styles were created at the beginning of the new millennium. He has played across the whole of southern Spain including: Seville, Cadiz, Malaga, Granada, and Almeria, as well as in Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. Beyond Spain, he has played in Montenegro. He has played with DJs and artists including Jan Blomqvist, Nico Pusch, Stee Downes and Crazy P. He is resident at Purobeach Marbella and Otto Madrid.
